& Breakfast (B&B) is familiar to most of us as quaint country homes
nestled in small friendly villages, far removed from urban centers. Our
agency, At Home In New York, offers B&B in one of the greatest
cities in the world, with a diversity of accommodations including luxury
apartments, townhouses, and artists' lofts.
Your choice among these may be the first step to a new and enriching travel experience, plus an economical alternative to an expensive hotel stay. We offer attractive and comfortable accommodations in prime locations throughout the city. Our B&B hosts are gracious New Yorkers, many of whom are artists and professional people who enjoy sharing their own special secrets and knowledge of the city (i.e. bargains, favorite restaurants, special haunts, events, etc.) ......
Our accommodations are located all over the city, from lower Manhattan, Greenwich Village, Soho, Chelsea, Gramercy Park, the Upper East & West Sides. Just tell us where you want to be and we'll concentrate our search in your desired area.
Hosted B&Bs
Hosted B&B is a Bed & Breakfast in the home of a New Yorker. Guests are staying in the guest room of their host, who remains in residence, provides breakfast, and is available (but never intrusive) to give information and assistance to guests as they may require it. There are usually maps, menus of neighborhood restaurants, and other useful information on hand.
Private Apartments (Unhosted)
Unhosted is a short term rental of a private self-contained apartment, with no host or owner present. Breakfast is generally not provided. Since there is usually a kitchen, guests may prepare meals. This is more of a "home away from home."
In addition to hosted B&Bs, At Home In New York offers completely furnished private pied-a-terres, ranging from cozy Maisonnettes to spacious three-bedroom, two-bathroom flats at approximately one-half the cost of a comparable accommodations in New York City's better hotels. Absentee hosts usually leave a couple of days of breakfast fixings along with maps, menus of local restaurants and other handy information to add to the enjoyment of your stay.
Daily Rates
Hosted B&Bs: Single: $75 - $100; Double: $90 - $135; Triple: $135 - $160
Private Apartments: $120.00 - $375.00 (based on location, size degree of luxury, number of guests and amenities). Special rates are available for long-term stays.
Note: All price will also plus 8.65% sales tax.
Payment Policies
Deposit is acceptable by check, money order, credit card (Visa, MasterCard & American Express). Although we accept personal checks as deposit, please allow at least one week for clearance. The balance of payment is due your host upon arrival in Cash or Travelers Checks. All payment is required in US currency. Note: In un-hosted reservations exceeding two weeks stays, the balance, up to one month's rent, is due 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date. Notice of cancellation after this date will result in no refund unless the apartment can be rebooked for the full period reserved.
Cancellations and Changes
Hosted B&Bs: Deposit is refundable (less a $35.00 processing fee) if we receive notice of cancellation at least 14 days prior to scheduled arrival date. Otherwise, deposit is forfeited. Once a reservation has been confirmed, there is a $ 20.00 fee for each requested change in a reservation.
One-Nighters
One-night reservations are accepted no earlier than 48 hours prior to your requested arrival date. A surcharge of $25 - $50 will be added to the daily rate on one-night stays.
